On Saturday, 13th November, Woolworths Sandton will be hosting a star-studded SA Designer fashion show celebrating South African creativity in store. 'SA Designers at Woolworths' is a highlight of the series of Woolworths ‘Events with a Difference’ showcasing exciting food, fashion and art. Fashion Editor of Glamour Magazine, Amanda Gowing will be providing latest style, make-up and fashion tips. 'Designs for Africa' will showcase the brilliance and accessibility of three of SA most-cherished young designers. Nkhensani Manganyi of Stoned Cherrie, Craig Native and Maya Prass will take a turn on the ramps, giving Sandton shoppers a unique insight into the ranges they have specially designed for Woolworths. Popular DJ, Ben Kay will be spinning his deep, sexy house and Latino tunes. There will be something for everyone who loves fashion and values the originality of SA creativity. Whether your preference is for the funky denim street wear of Craig Native, the afro-urban chic of Stoned Cherrie or the feminine ‘50s-charm of Maya Prass, you will be spoilt for choice this Saturday at Woolworths Sandton. ‘SA Designers at Woolworths’ emphasises the fantastic platform that Woolworths has provided for top SA fashion designers to reach their socially-aware and glam-conscious customer base. It is an invitation to Woolworths shoppers to join in a spectacular celebration of South Africa's vibrant and exciting talent. Woolworths Sandton will also be delighting their young customers in the children’s art gallery. This space has been established to stimulate and encourage children's natural creativity. Be ready for an explosion of fashion, music and celebrities. The Woolworths ‘Events with a Difference’ run through to March 2005, at Woolworths Canal Walk and Cavendish in the Western Cape; Sandton, Eastgate and Menlyn stores in Gauteng and Gateway in Kwazulu Natal.
