Pending the approval of the current licensing submission, Woolworths will trial a pharmacy offering in two existing Woolworths stores. The first Woolworths Pharmacy+ trial will open in Woolworths Kloof Street, Cape Town in early May 2007, followed shortly by the second trial in a location still to be confirmed. The trials will be evaluated quarterly and any further commitment will be based on the viability of the two trials. The trial of Pharmacy+ is intended to offer existing Woolworths customers a complete health and wellness destination, underpinning the Woolworths good food strategy and offering customers an even more complete shopping destination at their local Woolworths store. The dispensing aspect of the Pharmacy+ offer will be managed and staffed by Netcare on behalf of Woolworths. Ends
