The new 2211m2 Woolworths, which opened on Thursday 24 April 2008, will offer fashionable clothing, shoes and accessories for the family, Woolworths legendary homeware and the finest foods. There will also be a café where shoppers can take a break and enjoy a cup of organically grown coffee, light meals and other refreshments, as well as a Woolworths connect counter offering the latest in cell phones, GPS systems and more. Woolworths Woodmead will be making a difference to the local community in other ways as well. The store has formed a supportive partnership with St. Vincent School for the Deaf and has already handed over a cheque for R5000. Woolworths Woodmead will regularly supply St. Vincent School for the Deaf with surplus food.
