WOOLWORTHS STUDIO.W BRAND GETS A MAKEOVER
August 24, 2011
South Africans looking for well-made, beautifully styled clothing and homeware that is on-trend, easy to wear and surprisingly affordable will find just what they’re looking for when Woolworths re-launches and expands its Studio.W brand this summer. “Studio.W has been a remarkable success since its launch three years ago,” says Woolworths Group Director of Marketing, Charmaine Huet. “Our goal is to continue building on that success and establishing Studio.W as the brand for simple, modern styles that are easy to put together and offer the excellent value our customers expect to find at Woolworths.” Edited, co-ordinated ranges with a distinctive understated, confident style will continue to be the signature of Studio.W in casual and careerwear as well as in lingerie and home décor. Summer will also see a wider range of footwear and accessories to complement the fashion collections. “Fabric selection will continue to play a crucial role, and from this season we are introducing a limited luxe selection which will include silk and silk blends, linen and linen blends as well as beautiful rayon and modal blends,” says Huet. And colours? “The Studio.W offering has always been built on a strong foundation of neutral colours such as white, black, grey and stone, but will always also have a monthly input of relevant highlight colours.” This summer is no exception, as the strong, bold, colours and graphic patterns of the season are reflected in the ranges. Womenswear for summer features the cropped skinny pant, the shell top, the shift dress, the racerback tank and the wide leg trouser, while in menswear, the new slimmer silhouette in shirts, city shorts and tailoring is prominent. “Whether you’re dressing for the office, the weekend or an evening out, Studio.W will have just what you’re looking for,” adds Huet. It’s not only the ranges that are getting a makeover; the Studio.W ‘shops within shops’ at a number of Woolworths stores will take on a new look as well, with distinctive décor and fittings. Woolworths Studio.W clothing and homeware for summer 2011 will be available at most Woolworths stores countrywide from 24 August.
