MATERIALITY DETERMINATION

Our GBJ strategy, Vision 2025+, and the material issues we report on are informed and refreshed annually based on the results of our sustainability risk assessment and materiality determination process.

IDENTIFYING OUR MOST MATERIAL SUSTAINABILITY ISSUES

To ensure we are addressing sustainability issues that have the most potential to impact our business, society and the environment, we conduct an annual materiality determination process.

During this process, material issues are identified and internally assessed through a desktop review of peer sustainability reports, media and news articles, global collective commitments, global sustainability and reporting tools and indices and the Group’s combined assurance model. This is supplemented by a formal stakeholder engagement process every 3-5 years.

PRIORITISATION

We determine the priority of identified material issues using the lens of importance to the Group versus importance to our stakeholders.

Our internal assessment and prioritisation of the identified material issues is reflected in the matrix below.
