THE OPENING OF WOOLWORTHS SUNRIDGE BRINGS QUALITY, FRESHNESS, AND A HELPING HAND TO THE COMMUNITY
April 24, 2008
Quality, style and convenience are now closer to home for the residents of Sunridge Park with the opening of a new Woolworths food market in Sunridge Village Shopping Centre. The new 394 m2 Woolworths, which opened on Thursday 24 April 2008, offers Woolworths legendary quality fresh foods from carefully trimmed meat and chicken to seasonal fruit and vegetables, as well as delicious, convenient prepared meals, snacks and a wide range of organic foods from produce to peanut butter. The store also offers many of South Africa’s favourite brands at competitive prices, allowing you to do virtually your entire grocery shopping under one roof. Woolworths Sunridge will be making a difference to the local community in other ways as well. The store has formed a supportive partnership with Dias Farm School and has already handed over a cheque for R5000. Woolworths Sunridge will regularly supply Dias Farm School with surplus food. In addition, Woolworths will be investing further in the community through long-term development programmes. “We’d also like to invite our new customers to get involved in supporting local schools or other organisations through our MySchoolMyVillageMyPlanet initiative,” says store manager Charmaine Human “It doesn’t cost the customer anything, but every time they swipe any Woolworths or MySchool card in our store – or any Woolworths store in the country – Woolworths makes a contribution on their behalf to the beneficiary of their choice.” For more information about MySchoolMyVillageMyPlanet, pick up a leaflet at Woolworths or visit www.woolworths.co.za . You can also phone the Woolworths customer services centre on 0860 022 002. Woolworths Sunridge will trade seven days a week for the convenience of shoppers. Trading hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday. ENDS
