Woolworths proudly celebrates being named one of the World’s Most Trustworthy Companies for a second year in a row. Newsweek compiles the rankings based on independent surveys of over 230 000 evaluations, across 23 industries and 20 countries.
Per the Newsweek announcement, their list recognises companies that have earned the confidence of consumers, investors and employees by producing quality products, paying employees fair wages and appointing effective leaders.
“Our vision is to be one of the world’s most responsible retailers, and recognition like this is evidence that we’re on the right path,” said Anika Ebrahim, Group Head of Communications. “Trust in the Woolworths brand is a reflection of our commitment to quality and transparency, and we will continue to meet the high standards our stakeholders expect of us.”
This comes after Woolworths was awarded Most Admired Brand for Doing Good for Society, People and Environment in South Africa by Brand Africa, further cementing its reputation as a company committed to being a force for good.
